A Vacation To Remember

I had one of the most memorable trips this past June, and it’s one that I will remember forever. There aren’t enough words to explain how great my journey was to the Florida panhandle.

I will be laying out some of the places that I visited, and some things I learned during this trip in a short series of videos and articles. This would be the first one.

My main goal was to visit family I hadn’t seen in a very long time. I was also able to visit a dear friend whom I hadn’t seen in almost ten years.

So far, 2025 has blessed me with a gift I never saw coming, but longed for it years ago. Somehow, I’ve been flung back through time to see people who were very important in my youth. The list is long, and the year is far from over.

I’m getting a bit emotional writing this, but if I find the opportunity to share more about this in depth, I will do so. Most likely in the video I’m currently editing.

It is a cliché to say: “summer vacations are to reconnect with life, your family, and yourself.” If so, I don’t mind making my life an album of clichés. Perhaps that is how I shall title my memoirs.

In the meantime, I leave you with the first video that illustrates a portion of the trip I took to the Florida panhandle. It takes place in Pier Park at Panama City Beach Florida.

It is a simple walking tour of a spectacular beach, which includes a pier and an outdoor shopping center, which is typical in the state of Florida.

Since locations like these don’t exist where I come from (except the beach), sometimes pretentious and picturesque backdrops aren’t necessarily a bad thing, even though I prefer more historic and information-heavy settings.

My short story, A Dumb White Woman, is available on Kindle. Click HERE to go straight to its Amazon page.

Summary: In a country that elected a government that vows to make white people pay for the evil of their ancestors, a Caucasian woman decides to disappear to avoid fulfilling her obligatory reparations. Little does she know her decision would be stupider than she imagined.

I hope you enjoy the video, and stay tuned to new blogs and new videos by typing your email in the box below and clicking subscribe.
